This hood has both sides of the zipper. It can be sewn onto an existing jacket and then you can use the zipper to quickly detach the hood.

Never thought I’d find a perfect match replacement for a lost raincoat hood but this is it! The zipper is a bit longer (and the hood larger) than the original but sewing it on was simple and it looks good as new!
This hood is exactly what I needed. I attached it to a high end Mountain Hardware jacket that didn’t have a good. It tucks flat into the back when not needed. I love the sew in zipper factor.from the outside you cannot see the hood unless it is up.
The hood color and fit were perfect! I used velcro to attach the hood to the jacket. You might want to consider that as an option.

It's slightly larger than I really needed, but is absolutely perfect in all other ways. My heated jacket didn't have a hood and now it does. Came with the necessary zipper for attachment and clear instructions on how to sew it on. Absolutely recommend.
Hood is nicely made with sturdy zipper attached. We had to make adjustments to attach it to my husband’s old jacket, but everything worked out in the end. There was no other place where we could get such a hood but through UdderTech.

Exactly what I needed
I needed an hood only to add to my various jackets. I needed one for the PNW rainy season. It’s great I bring it everywhere (no umbrella needed ever) I must admit it has a nice shape and the cinch string is strong and easy to tie.
now you guys need to make a fur ruff to fit on the hood and my second hand jacket will look like a first hand hacket
